The mission of Mary Hall Freedom House, Inc. (MHFH) is to empower women to end the cycle of addiction, poverty, and homelessness for themselves and for their children. Since 1996, MHFH has been a leader in behavioral healthcare, housing, and support services, helping more than 10,000 women, children, veterans, and families to date. Over the past 23 years, MHFH has blossomed into a vital community asset, with a dedicated staff of 67 who currently serve more than 900 women, children, veterans, and families annually. Described as a place where women can find love, acceptance, and hope for a better life, MHFH nurtures each woman that walks through the door on her journey to recovery and self-reliance. MHFH is committed to its mission and values every person who comes through its doors. MHFH’s provides wraparound services, to include behavioral health services, childcare, and medical care, career services, and spirituality, along with emergency, transitional, and permanent housing, present women, children, veterans, and families with the path to a better life today and tomorrow. MHFH provides its continuum of services that enables each participant to identify root causes of barriers to self-sufficiency and independence. MHFH works diligently to help participants transform their lives. Women veterans and their children walk many different paths to get to MHFH. MHFH partners with the Veterans Administration, the Department of Labor, the Department of Family and Children’s Services, law enforcement, hospitals, family members, and faith partners.
